When I tried to load a manual save at the last save station I used before this point, it rendered Isaac completely invisible. You can stomp on its weak point and kill it, but it also doesn't fix the problem. However, you might be able to find the tentacle laying on the ground as though it started its animation, but got stuck before latching itself onto Isaac which would have otherwise allow the game to progress. The bug comes after reloading the auto-save because when you try to move through the door that triggers the tentacle event, the tentacle isn't triggered and you're unable to proceed through the door. As I failed to sever the tentacle in time, I reloaded my auto-save without allowing the death animation to complete. On my way to Wheezer #7, there is a point where you are dragged by a tentacle and you have to shoot at its weak point to free yourself. I'm on Chapter 6 "Environmental Hazard" currently tasked with taking out the wheezers. I found a new bug after Dead Space (PS5) was updated last night.
